History
1959 -  Decorated a float for the Fair Parade.    First Flower Show "Wonders of December"
1962 -  Began Christmas decorating program in downtown Luray
1966 -  Donation for the landscaping of the JFK Memorial Center
1975 -  First plant sale in May at the First Natonal Bank; $139.82 was earned
1976 -  20th Anniversary; work began on the history of Main St. Cemetery
1978 -  House Tour and Flower Show"Autumn Memories" held in conjunction with the Heritage Festival
1981 -  25th Anniversary; work continued on Main St. Cemetery; Thanksgiving Workshop at Mont Vue
1983 -  Gala Old South Ball at the Mimslyn Inn
1990 -  Sold chances to win a Victorian Era Christmas tree decorated with handmade ornaments
1996 - 40th Anniversary; Bees & Buttercups 4-H Jr. Garden Club begins with Luray Elementary School students
2006 -  50th Anniversary celebration was held at the Page United Methodist Church
2009 -  Honored by the Shenandoah District of the VFGC for service to the community;  Memorial trees dedication ceremony at Ralph Dean Park
2010 -  Life Center landscaping project in Luray
2011 -  Joined Facebook
2015 -  Purchased bronze plaque site map for Old County Cemetery
2016 -  Hosted Small Standard Flower Show at Art Warehouse
2017 -  Environmental Scholarships Program began;  Awarded two local High School students, $500 each
2018 - 22  Awarded two local High School students $500 Environmental Scholarships, each of these years
2018 -  First Afternoon Tea & Garden Tour, at Birdsong Pleasure Garden, for Prospective Members
2021 -  First Garden Lover's Day at Birdsong Pleasure Garden selling plants, raffle tickets, quilt to raise scholarship funds.
